Barbara Knight catches up with Stu and Rosie

It was great to sit down with our clients Stu and Rosie and talk about their home that was featured on grand designs last night.

Although their project was completed on a tight budget, one of their biggest priorities was the aesthetics of the building, especially as it is located in such a prominent position in West Kirby. Originally they had chosen to install grey UPVC windows and doors but after much consideration it was decided that Alu-clad windows and door would offer a much more suitable fit. They decided to go with Rationel which are one of our most popular Alu-clad ranges, offering outstanding energy efficiency alongside exceptional aesthetics, perfectly meeting their needs and vision for the home.

It is a good job that this was given further thought, as the end result is far superior compared to their initial plans for UPVC. Thanks to the contemporary look of the aluminium capping externally and the natural beauty of the timber internally the overall effect is stunning.

It is important to consider these options even when on a tight budget as sometimes a little extra investment provides huge returns. This ended up being a pivotal decision in their project as Stu and Rosie wanted to ensure they spent money where it mattered most to ensure their home looked its best.
