Flat Roof Light Wirral

In the pursuit of converting their garden room extension into a more functional and inviting space, the homeowners of this stunning family residence approached us for assistance. Their goal was to create an area flooded with natural light while ensuring optimal thermal performance. Our task was to design and implement a cohesive glazing scheme, comprising windows, doors, and roof lights, to seamlessly complete the new space.

Design Solutions:

We supplied a range of aluminium products to the rear of the home including roof lanterns, windows and our slimline sliding door. All products where finished in RAL 7016 to create a unified look throughout. For the rest of the house we have installed flush timber alternative windows in agate grey.

Cohesive Transformation:

The result is a remarkable open-plan living space that has truly become the heart of the home. This new area facilitates quality family time, allowing the homeowners to cook, dine, and relax together. The strategic placement of windows provides a captivating view of the garden, creating a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living.

Benefits of the Transformation:

Abundant Natural Light: The installation of 4 roof lanterns, a large sliding door and multiple aluminium windows has filled the space with natural light. Similar to the light levels of a conservatory however without all the drawbacks.

Thermal Comfort: All of our products meet current standard, however like the products used in this project we are able to offer enhanced energy efficiency through the use of triple glazing and thermally broken frames to ensure our installations far exceed the standards set out by local authorities.

Aesthetic Harmony:  Despite the use of products from different brands, the unified powder-coating in the same RAL colour achieved a visually cohesive and sophisticated look.

Versatile Usage: The open-plan living space offers versatility, serving as a hub for various activities, from cooking and dining to shared family time.

Indoor-Outdoor Connection: With a fantastic view of the garden and easy access outside during the summer months, the new space enhances the connection between the interior and the surrounding natural environment. The homeowners are able to monitor their children when in the garden whilst preparing dinner. The indoor/outdoor flow has enabled the homeowners to host larger gatherings throughout the summer months as friends and family have been able to spread out across the garden without feeling separated from the indoor space.

Conclusion:

This case exemplifies the successful transformation of a garden room extension into a vibrant and functional living space. The strategic implementation of a thoughtfully designed glazing scheme, along with the unifying touch of colour, has not only met but exceeded the homeowners' expectations. The result is a harmonious and inviting environment where the family can create lasting memories together while enjoying the beauty of their home and garden.
