Prestigious development of the Firwood estate in Formby featuring a brand new 7 bedroom Palladian Mansion designed by Southport architects RAL. This large development features over 200 windows, doors and roof lanterns all of which have been supplied by John Knight Glass.
Particular attention to detail has been applied to every element of this development resulting in a outstanding building built to the highest of standards. The Portland stone and glazing are some of the features that stand out and contribute to making this building so special.
Throughout the build there are over 100 Symphony windows from the Bygone collection, multiple aluminium roof lanterns and a large range of windows and doors from the Evolution range. We worked closely with RAL architecture to ensure attention to detail was maintained across all products including the dimensions of the astregal bars, the size of the sash window mullions, mechanical joints and run through sash horns on all sash windows.
Every product has been choosen specifically because of its ability to replicate traditional timber windows and doors whilst being manufactured from UPVC, this gives the look of a timber material without the ongoing maintenance. The Evolution and Bygone range do this particularly well and are not to be confused with standard UPVC windows and doors.
Our long standing history of working on large high end projects and our extensive product range made us the perfect choice for RAL architecture when developing the Firwood estate.
