Situated just a stone's throw from the beach with a sea view, our client purchased this property with the view to redevelop both the interior and exterior to create the perfect holiday cottage for both long and short term holiday lets. Originally the property was fitted with UPVC rosewood windows which did not fit with the overall look of the property re-development, the original windows were also looking tired and lacking in energy efficiency.
Upon completion of the new plans for the re-development of the cottage, our client was looking to achieve a contemporary look with a mixture of grey colours. Having decided on a dual colour white/grey timber window for a soft internal finish and an architectural statement externally, our client was concerned with the effects that their proximity to the sea may have on their windows due to the nature of the weather often causing premature corrosion to timber windows. After exploring our range, our client decided to go with Rational alu-clad windows, as they offered dual colour timber windows with aluminium capping externally for added protection over the harsh weather that can be found on the coast of the island.
Rationel windows offer extremely good build quality and energy efficiency, both important factors in locations where the weather can be prematurely ageing and can negatively impact the comfort levels inside the home. Now the project is complete, our client can enjoy the long term durability, internal comfort and lower heating bill that alu-clad windows offer.
