We worked alongside Ashvale Contracting Ltd to provide a full scheme of windows and doors for this fantastic Farmhouse renovation project in Shrewsbury. The homeowners choose a range of products from our Internorm and Crittall range.
The Crittall products look right at home on the large barn element of the building giving a nod to the building's history. The slim dark glazing bars are very much in vogue and are a great contrast to the building stone façade as well as the freshly plastered interior. The centre of the building is a large landscaped courtyard, featuring an oversized Crittall screen which is a real focal point.
The rear of the barn building features a more modern approach with a range of our Internorm products installed. The Alu clad Internorm products have a timber core that is visible internally and aluminium capping externally. The timber finish internally gives a feeling of warmth to the interior and may be in keeping with the original design of the building having most likely had timber windows at some point.
Throughout the different buildings, various corner sliding and bi-folding doors have been installed. The modern feature gives a contemporary feel to the overall design giving a clue to the fact the building has been repurposed and featured an updated interior.
The new windows and doors throughout are in most instances much bigger than they would have been previously. These larger windows and doors will allow more light to flow into the property, as well as create a greater connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces. With a detailed landscaping package, a large part of the outdoor space flows seamlessly with the indoor living areas thanks to the various sets of doors.
