Keeping an eye on the market to find their forever family home our clients came across the perfect plot in their dream location. After a viewing they decided it was the perfect opportunity to build their dream home, creating a home that was completely designed and built to their own personal taste and specification.
After seeing a picture of one of our recent Crittall installations our client loved the striking effect of large panel steel screen so much so that they wanted to create an entire wall from one large screen.
When designing their new build home they wanted to create the perfect open plan living space with a large 13 meter opening connection the indoor and outdoor space. Another design feature was to create a view of the garden as soon as you enter the home. Both of these features have been done utilising our Crittall steel screens.
In the central hallway of the home we supplied and fitted a set of Crittall French doors split into 3 with dual horizontal glazing bars. This creates a separation between the entrance hall and main living area whilst ensuring the spaces are still connected visually through the glass adding to the open plan feel of the home.
Without doubt one of the most stunning features of this home is the large Crittall screen at the rear of the property. With two single opening doors at either end and a set of French door in the centre this is the largest Crittall screen we have ever installed.
Once the doors had been installed much of the interior design was influenced by the black steel glazing bars, with accents of black used throughout the home contrasting with the bright white walls. With such large rooms the black doors and dark furniture works extremely well and gives the space a modern look with an industrial edge. The large open plan living area at the rear of the home is the perfect place for family gatherings and general day-to-day living with plenty of space for all of the family to spend time together. The large steel and glass screen reduces the barrier between the internal and external spaces allowing the family to feel connected at all times.
